About MYRA
Merced Yosemite Regional Airport has been an integral part of California’s Central Valley since its establishment in 1946. Originally a small airfield designed to support regional transportation and general aviation, the airport’s early years were marked by modest beginnings. As the years progressed, MYRA grew alongside the region, evolving into a vital hub for both commercial and general aviation.
Over the decades, we have enhanced our facilities and services to offer travelers a blend of convenience and comfort. Our airport boasts a range of amenities designed to streamline your travel experience, including free parking, efficient check-in, and professional TSA services. Our smaller size compared to major hubs allows us to provide a more personalized and hassle-free experience, making us an ideal choice for those heading to Yosemite National Park, exploring Merced’s vibrant agribusiness sector, or embarking on trips to Las Vegas or Los Angeles.
Merced Yosemite Regional Airport is more than just a travel gateway; it is a community hub that reflects our commitment to both locals and visitors. Our facilities include hangars for lease, the Gateway Air Center for airplane repairs and maintenance, and a host of other services including airplane tie-down spaces, fuel stations, and quick access to the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System. We also offer essential services such as a National Weather Service Station, two air ambulances, and a fire station to ensure a safe and smooth experience.
Whether you are a traveler seeking a convenient and friendly airport experience or an aviation enthusiast looking for top-notch facilities, MYRA is here to serve you with dedication and excellence. We invite you to experience the unique blend of accessibility and personalized service that makes us an integral part of the Central Valley and Yosemite region.
